Leading the Ministry’s delegation at the International Transport Forum (ITF) Summit, the Deputy Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ognjen Janjić, spoke about the importance of the transport sector in achieving environmental sustainability and facing challenges brought by climate change, health crisis and geopolitics.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina is committed to promoting sustainable practices in transport that reduce carbon emissions and preserve our natural resources for the future generations. By investing in sustainable infrastructure and transition to green transport modalities, we can reduce air pollution, combat respiratory diseases and create a healthier environment for everyone. Given the current geopolitical challenges in the region, it is essential that we work together to ensure the resilience and adaptability of our transport systems. Through international cooperation and dialogue we can respond to our common challenges and create sustainable and connected transport network to the benefit of all”, said Deputy Minister Janjić and called upon the Summit attendees to the Green Mobility Summit on 6 – 7 June in Sarajevo.
