Agreement on the Brčko – Gunja BC bridge reconstruction to be signed soon

After the Conference on Transport Infrastructure of the Brčko District ended, BiH Minister of Communications and Transport, Edin Forto, together with the Director of PC “Port of Brčko”, Perica Josić, and the Brčko District Mayor, Zijad Nišić, paid a visit to the PC “Port of Brčko”.

Putting into operation of the Port of Brčko is conditioned by the construction of a new bridge, and by improvements to be made to the Sava riverbed including the demining of the Sava River.

This would, at the same time, ensure navigability of the Sava River towards the Danube River thus enabling the Port of Brčko to be fully functional.

A precondition for these activities is the signature of the Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia on the reconstruction of the bridge on the Brčko – Gunja border crossing, as soon as possible.
