"Modernization of existing and construction of new railway infrastructure is of great importance for improvement of our transport connectivity and economic development" said state Minister of Transport and Communications Edin Forto at the meeting with the Executive Director of World Bank Eugen Rhuggenaath during which they talked about priority infrastructure projects in the country.

"Reconstruction of road Sarajevo-Podgorica via Šćepan Polje is project of great importance for regional connectivity and road safety, and that is why Bosnia and Herzegovina ask for the support of World Bank. Having in mind previous support of World Bank we are convinced that we will receive significant support also in the future for those key projects" Minister Forto emphasized.

Executive Director of World Bank has expressed his readiness to continue support for Bosnia and Herzegovina in efforts to improve infrastructure.

Interlocutors have agreed that this meeting represents another step towards strengthening of partnership between Bosnia and Herzegovina and World Bank with a goal to achieve sustainable economic development and improvement of living standard of citizens.
