BiH Minister of Communications and Transport, Vojin Mitrović, proposed establishing the communication at the level of Transport Ministers between the countries in the region, in order to enable goods flow between the countries involved and in transit.

As the global problems of the COVID-19 pandemic are getting more complicated on a daily basis, the countries are taking measures based on recommendations from the health sector. However, all countries are faced with true problems in connection with unimpeded flow of goods, particularly in international transport, therefore, additional measures need to be taken in order to mitigate the economic effects.

For this reason Minister Mitrović suggested that adequate transport corridors should be agreed in order to minimise the burden on businesses. Working together in such an extremely difficult situation is crucial now, especially when it comes to transport of food and health products, but also any other raw materials and products that support the core businesses, all with the aim of removing the barriers that exist today, and defining the transport corridors that would solely be intended for the normal road transport of goods.
