They discussed the request for reduction of fee charged based on the Decision on the amount of fee paid by aircraft operators per passenger transported and per ton of cargo transported upon arrival at the airports in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Minister Forto noted that the aim is to increase the number of passengers, which is ultimately the only criterion for good business operation of airports.
“There are trends in the region that airports are getting stronger at the expense of our own. We expect to take joint decisions on further development of airports. If there is no increase in the number of passengers, there is no development” said Minister Forto.
BHDCA General Director, Čedomir Šušnjar, said that the Directorate stands ready for any type of discussion that will contribute to improving civil aviation.
Representatives of airports in Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed their hope that the best solution would be found at the next meeting scheduled to take place on 5 September, the aim of which is to improve air traffic in BiH.
