The bridge over the Sava River near Svilaj that will connect Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia is in the final stage of construction. Specifically, a bridge test (proof load), horizontal signalling, technical inspection and obtaining of a usage permit are to be performed in the coming period.

The downstream bridge has already been fully completed including all asphalt layers, and guardrails and lighting installed, while the first layer of asphalting on the bridge access ramp was completed on Saturday on the side of the Republic of Croatia.

Today, the first layer on the upstream bridge is being paved (the bituminous-bound layer), which also serves as the hydro isolation, and tomorrow the second layer of asphalt on the upstream bridge, which is also the final surfacing layer, is planned to take place.
