At the opening ceremony, Minister Mitrović and the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina Johan Sattler used the opportunity to discussed putting into operation the Sava River Bridge near Svilaj for which both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia are interested in and also European Union.

Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina headed by Minister Mitrović will make every effort to open the temporary border crossing point for passengers and vehicles until September in order to avoid additional costs regarding the protection, securing and maintenance of the bridge itself and in the same time to prevent illegal border crossings.

Transport of passengers shall be performed on the bridge until the finalization of works on the construction of border crossing point that is scheduled to be opened at the beginning of 2021.
