“Maintenance and reconstruction of bridges and roads on the common border is as equally important for Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as for the Republic of Croatia. Reconstruction of the bridge will significantly contribute to quicker exchange of goods, people and capital, which will certainly affect the economic development of the region” said Minister Mitrović, announcing the imminent reconstruction of the existing Novi Grad/Dvor bridge, following last week’s signing of the Agreement on the Maintenance and Reconstruction of Road Bridges at the State Border between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Croatia.

“With the new convocation of the BiH Council of Ministers, this issues has finally received the required attention, and following the visit of the Serb Member of BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, and Minister Vojin Mitrović to the Republic of Croatia, we have concrete results which we are deeply convinced will bear fruit. So many times before I have said that the importance of this border crossing for the economy of Novi Grad and the entire Prijedor and Una-Sana region is enormous” emphasised Mayor Drljača.
