Director of Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zoran Tageltija, handed over today the digital qualified signature to the Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto.

As Minister Forto said at the press conference, such events are much more important for BiH than it is believed: “Thanks to ITA, I will be using electronic signature as of today and I hope that soon we will remove all paperwork in the Ministry. I call upon all levels of government to get involved in order to withdraw all paper documents. Through the Ministry of Justice and Administration and in cooperation with IDDEEA, the Sarajevo Canton has already initiated this process and it is time for others to take the same path.”

Director Tageltija said that the ITABiH has been actively engaged in the implementation of electronic services by means of qualified electronic signature, such as filing VAT and domestic excise duty declarations, filing import and export customs declarations, etc. He noted that the ITA is interested in the process of digitalisation of all institutions in BiH and the cooperation with the citizens with the aim of facilitating business operations.

Electronic signature will enable the development of public administration digital services and facilitate the communication with the citizens.
