The meeting started with the statement of the interlocutors that the meeting was supposed to be held early this year but was postponed due to coronavirus pandemic, as the leading global topic nowadays.

The main topic of the discussion was the cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the People’s Republic of China in the area of infrastructure, communications and air connectivity, but also the improvement of relations between the two countries and the entrance of Chinese companies to our country’s market.  

They also discussed the 17+1 Conference that was to be organised by the Ministry and held in Sarajevo and postponed due to the pandemic, as well as the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between BiH and China.

Ambassador Ping noted that Chinese companies are currently engaged on the construction of Corridor Vc and expressed the desire of their future participation in motorway and airport construction projects in our country, as well as those in the communications area.

Both Minister Mitrović and Ambassador Ping expressed their satisfaction with the current cooperation between the two countries and the expectation that it wold continue in the coming period, particularly when it comes to transport infrastructure, traffic and communications.
