At the beginning, Minister Mitrović thanked for the support provided by the U.S. Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path towards the EU integration and improved economic cooperation between the two countries.
As pointed by Minister Mitrović, activities on agreeing technical specifications are underway and international tender for interested parties in and outside of BiH is planned to take place soon.
Minister Mitrović and Deputy Chief of Mission Germain touched upon the issues of cyber security, secure data exchange and safe networks. They agreed that special attention should be paid to this issue in order to enable the secure exchange of data and information.
Minister Mitrović noted that the adoption of legislation to define cyber security area is ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after which it will be necessary to implement technical solutions that would define and resolve the network security problems.
At the end, Minister Mitrović reiterated its appreciation to the Ambassador Nelson and his Deputy Germain for the support, emphasising that all laws proposed by the Ministry must be agreed with the Entities and Brčko District, as well as with the EU Directives, given the aspirations of Bosnia and Herzegovina to become an EU member state.
