As the rest of the aviation industry and like the other air navigation control agencies, BHANSA has been faced with unprecedented problems and almost complete suspension of air traffic since the pandemic outbreak.
“Thanks to the crisis measures we have taken, the damage has been minimised and the response to the new situation has been much better that in many other agencies, which has been recognised by our European partners who have commended our efforts. We informed the Minister about the extension of our activities the aim of which is to get ready for the normalisation of air traffic in the coming period” said Primorac.
Minister Mitrović welcomed the activities of the BHANSA management and announced the Ministry’s full support in achieving the goals set by the Agency, noting that the Ministry has undertaken additional steps within its competence to come up with the solution to help the civil aviation institutions in order to ensure their smooth operation.
As Primorac noted, at the very beginning and during the most difficult times of the crisis caused by the coronavirus, it was necessary to ensure a positive approach of BiH towards the solutions that come from the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation. The key role in this process was played by the Ministry of Communications and Transport headed by Minister Mitrović.
