Ministar Mitrović meets PowerChina Company representatives: Expressing willingness to finance and build transport infrastructure in BiH

BiH Minister of Communications and Transport, Vojin Mitrović, met today in Sarajevo with the delegation of the PowerChina Company led by Liu Zhidong, Chief Representative of the Company in BiH.

Representatives of the Chinese Company expressed great interest and readiness to participate in the construction of the Glamočani – Mrkonjić Grad – Mliništa motorway section. It is the section from Glamoč towards Split, connecting to Hungary via Okučani.

PowerChina Company expressed interest in providing a full range of services, including investment and financing, planning, and designing, construction, equipment manufacturing and operation management, primarily through Republika Srpska but also through the Federation of BiH.

 

Minister Mitrović expressed the Ministry’s and his own readiness to assist the Chinese company, in line with its competencies, to make contacts with the Republika Srpska representatives. Therefore, it was agreed to organise a meeting between the representatives of Republika Srspa, PowerChina Company and the BiH Ministry of Communications and Transport in the coming period to present project details and the conditions.
