As Minister Mitrović noted, the reason for the meeting is to get informed about the situation regarding the construction of the section and the bridge over the Sava River, the part of the motorway from Rača to Sarajevo, as well as the condition of and the ongoing works on the Corridor Vc section through Republika Srpska.
“With the construction of the bridge, Bosnia and Herzegovina will open the door to the European Union and the motorway will become operational, enabling faster development of this part of the country. The bridge, jointly built by BiH and Croatia, will help resolving some large BiH’s problems, given that the Banja Luka - Gradiška motorway is not connected to the Zagreb - Belgrade highway and the frequent traffic collapse in Gradiška due to the border crossing being located a few hundred meters from the city center" said Minister Mitrović.
Director Topic expressed his satisfaction that the company under his management is a direct participant in the implementation of such large projects, adding that, without any doubt, the motorways and bridges are the ones that connect RS with Europe and the world.
“Despite the pandemic, that literally stopped the entire world last year, the construction of the motorway on the Corridor Vc and the bridge over the Sava River near Gradiška has not been interrupted for a single day. I must also proudly emphasise that other projects of the Autoputevi RS have not not suffered due to the pandemic, but ran as planned and in line with the dynamics, therefore, we will ensure the construction continuity of modern road infrastructure in RS in the future” said Direktor Topić.
After the meeting, Minister Mitrović and Director Topić visited the Sava River bridge construction site near Gradiška together with the representatives of the Contractor Integral Inženjering a.d.
