On that occasion, Minister Mitrović presented the implemented and future-planned activities of the Ministry, and a special topic of their talks was devoted to the signing of the Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Driving Licenses between BiH and Italy.

Minister Mitrović informed the Italian Ambassador of the Ministry’s work and finalization of all activities necessary for the signing of the Agreement, and, following the exchange of texts, the Italian side is expected to propose a date for signing. What still remains to be done is to address the issue of recognition of categories issued in the home country and their respective recognition by the other country.

Ambassador Minasi upholds the signing of the Agreement at the earliest convenience and promised that all steps within his competence would be undertaken to complete this process as soon as possible.

Also, given the high level of foreign trade between the two countries, they both agreed that Italy should consider increasing the contingent of international bilateral licenses for carriers in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
