Having witnessed yesterday the extremely difficult situation with the current road cargo transport at the Bosanska Gradiška border crossing, Minister of Transport and Communications of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vojin Mitrović, visited today the Rača border crossing.

After visiting the Rača border crossing, Minister Mitrović spoke with the representatives from the BiH Border Police, BiH Indirect Taxation Authority, and the carriers and was assured that the situation on this border crossing was at the satisfactory level, considering that the waiting time to cross the border was not long nor there were any long convoys of vehicles, as was the case in Gradiška.

Minister Mitrović appealed to all drivers who, according to him, are in the most difficult situation, to have patience and understanding, as the Ministry headed by him is doing its utmost to normalise the entire situation. He also expressed gratitude to all members of the Border Police, Indirect Taxation Authority and the respective inspectorates who are also doing a difficult job.

Finally, he stressed the necessity for the Republic of Serbia to reconsider the need for police escorting on its territory.
