BiH Minister of Communications and Transport, Vojin Mitrović, received today the Ambassador of Austria to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Ulrike Hartmann.



They discussed the possibilities for improving good bilateral relations, especially in international road transport of passengers and goods.

Information was exchanged on the existing bilateral agreements signed more than two decades ago and the need for these agreements to be revised and amended. Minister Mitrović proposed establishing a new joint committee and holding a meeting with the purpose of agreeing on a new agreement on road transport of passengers and goods between BiH and Austria.   


Minister Mitrović informed Ambassador Hartmann on the pace of the implementation of the Belgrade – Sarajevo – Belgrade motorway construction and the Corridor Vc motorway construction. They both agreed on the importance of building these motorways and connecting the countries of the region with the EU Member States, Ambassador Hartman conveyed the interest of Austrian companies to participate in the implementation of these projects.

They jointly assessed that the cooperation between the two countries in the field of air traffic is excellent, noting that further improvement is possible with the aim of strengthening economic and business relations between BiH and Austria.
