BiH Minister of Communications and Transport, Vojin Mitrović, announced today in Banja Luka that one of the key goals of the Ministry is addressing transport-related issues and the adoption of laws and by-laws in this area to facilitate business operation of entrepreneurs engaged in transport of goods and passengers.



Minister Mitrović stated this in a meeting at the RS Chamber of Commerce where, together with Zoran Tageltija, Chair of BiH Council of Ministers, he held talks with the management of the Chamber of Commerce.

Problems faced by the entrepreneurs, as well as the views of the business community on possible ways to resolve such problems were discussed at the meeting. In this light, Minister Mitrović noted on the necessity to look for solutions that will protect local entrepreneurs and their businesses.


Announcing a similar meeting with the representatives of the business community in the Federation of BoH, Minister Mitrović said that the Ministry will work on legal regulations, as well as on amendments to the rulebooks with the aim of facilitating business operations and reducing costs.

Formation of working groups was announced at the meeting, which will include representatives of the Entity governments and all associations gathering employers, in addition to representatives of the BiH Council of Ministers. As announced, such working groups will work on the protection of domestic production, VAT-related issues, Law on Public Procurement, as well as on a number of transport-related issues.
