They particularly talked about the need to raise the level of cooperation in the transport area at a higher level, especially in the implementation of road infrastructure projects. The possibility of joint approach by Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Norther Macedonia towards the EU funding used to finance such projects was mentioned.
The necessity to continue with the bilateral cooperation with the aim of facilitating transport and services in international road transport was emphasised.
They also talked about the need to open a permanent weekly Sarajevo – Skopje air service that, based on estimates, would significantly improve the economic cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Mitrović touched upon the need to connect the railway infrastructure that, according to Minister, would significantly raise the level of economic cooperation and exchange between the countries in the region.
They both commented on the positive effects of signing the Regional Roaming Agreement which enabled lowering roaming prices significantly between the countries in the region. In this regard, it was noted that it is necessary to continue with the implementation of the Agreement under which full abolition of roaming between the Western Balkan countries is foreseen as of 1 July 2021.
