After having visited the customs terminal and the construction site of the Sava bridge together with the Mayor of Gradiška, Zoran Adžic, Director of the BiH Indirect Taxation Authority, Miro Džakula, Director of RS Roads, Dušan Topić, and the owner of Integral Engineering construction company, Slobodan Stanković, Minister Mitrović assessed that the new customs terminal is constructed in line with European standards and expressed his satisfaction with the pace of construction of the Sava bridge near Gradiška.

Minister Mitrović said that the construction of a new bridge worth nearly EUR 40mil. is proceeding rapidly and that the new border crossing in Gradiška will be fully operational within the foreseen period. 

According to Minister, the construction of the new bridge over the Sava river enables connecting Corridor X and the Gradiška – Banja Luka motorway, that will help speed up the transport of goods and capital in the interest of all the citizens of RS and BiH. 

During his visit, Minister Mitrović was informed that the works on the construction of the Sava bridge on the Croatian side commenced ten days ago and that Croatia will publish a tender this year for the construction of access roads to the bridge.

Talks were also held on the construction of a bypass to fully disburden the traffic in Gradiška and the possibility to open, along with the new border crossing, a free economic zone next to bridge to boost economic growth for Gradiška and the entire border area.
