It should be left to Brčko District to choose an expressway route through the District

Today, BiH Minister of Communications and Transport, Edin Forto, was in Brčko District to discuss with the Brčko District Mayor, Zijad Nišić, the implementation of the Brčko-Gunja bridge reconstruction project, and the construction of the Tuzla – Brčko – Orašje and Vukosavlje – Brčko – Bijeljina expressway, that is to solve the issue of selecting a part of the motorway section which would run through Brčko District.

It was agreed at the meeting that it was necessary to construct a new bridge on the Brčko – Gunja border crossing in order to solve the freight vehicles transport issue.

“It should be left to the Brčko District to make a final decision concerning the selection of the expressway route which would run through Brčko District”, Minister Forto said.
