Forto Seeks Urgent Dismissal of the FBiH Insurance Supervisory Agency Management Due to Increase in Vehicle Registration Fee

Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto, requested dismissal of the FBiH Insurance Supervisory Agency Management after having learned that this Agency had increased vehicle registration fee by amending the Decision on the method of determining the tariff premium and the price list for insuring vehicle owners from damage liability to third parties.

Thus, the vehicle liability insurance premium, which is mandatory for all vehicle owners in the FBiH, increased in price up to 100 KM.

“It is unusual that those who are advocating for strengthening of the state act on their own and take such important decisions without taking consultations with the state level, particularly bearing in mind that the BiH Ministry of Communications and Transport is governing this area. Concern and justified disapproval by the citizens of the Federation of BiH is understandable” said Minister Forto.
