Bidding procedure for the selection of a contractor for the construction of the interstate bridge over the Tara River

„Bidding procedure for the selection of a contractor for the construction of the interstate bridge over the Tara River at the junction of the main road in the location of Šćepan Polje will be announced by end of July”, said the Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto, following bilateral meeting with the Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs of Montenegro, Filip Radulović.

“This will be a joint project between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, the implementation of which will finally turn the legend of a new road and bridge at this location into a reality. The BiH side has committed to build a 1km section of the access road, while Montenegro side will build a 2.5km section” explained Minister Forto.

According to Minister Radulović, a multiannual problem related to poor condition of the bridge connecting BiH and Montenegro will be resolved and improve the transport links between the two countries.

The construction of the bridge will jointly be financed by Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
