As Forto noted, the accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Digital Europe programme is a huge success.
“It is true that Bosnia and Herzegovina is lacking behind Europe in terms of digitalisation, although we have had the infrastructure ready for more than a decade that we are not using. Therefore, BiH should make a momentum in the digitalisation of public administration, but also the private sector in order to become more competitive regionally and in Europe.”
The Workshop focused on few mutually interconnected dimensions of the future of work: green and digital transition, use of AI and automation, and blue economy.
Director of the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH, Ivan Barbalić, said that this event is a good way for young people who are the biggest capital in our country, to learn, educate and improve.
The Workshop was organised by the Union for the Mediterranean, of which Bosnia and Herzegovina is a member state, and its formal host is the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH in partnership with the Socal Innovations Incubator – MUNJA. It gathered some 60 experts from the European Union and Mediterranean countries to discuss and exchange views and experiences on the benefits and challenges of the green and digital transition and artificial intelligence in the context of the creation of new and disappearance of some traditional jobs.
